Who he is

Alberto Baumann was born in Milan in 1933, but grew up in Tuscany and was adopted by the city of Rome in the early Fifties.

He's been a journalist for most of his life, but also a writer and poet, publishing books of poetry, such as The taste of things ("Il Sapore delle cose" 1968) and Meet the Lord your God ("Conosci il Signore Dio tuo"1970) and the short story collection If I get out of here alive ("Se escovivo da qui"1969).

He was also one of the precursors of commercial television by creating and directing broadcast format that later became successful tv programs.

Since the early Eighties, he expressed his creativity through painting and sculpture. Nowadays he lives and works in Rome.
